AMC is a 300 m2 sim center in Linz, Austria. AMC does 300 high fidelity trainings per year, 80% of the courses are done in-situ and focus on interprofessional, interdisciplinary team trainings. The AMC team consists of physicians, nurses, psychologists and paramedics. Most of them are licensed hospital managers, executive advisors and of course certified trainers. AMC runs a consulting company besides the sim activities to transfer the issues found during trainings or a system check into a project afterwards.

The Center is an independent organizational unit to provide skills education, simulation and training facility for the clinical departments of the Faculty of Medicine. The Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) in the Aga Khan University campus in Karachi is a donor funded facility. The centre is completed and commissioned in November 2015, are located adjacent to the AKU School of Nursing and Midwifery and cover an area of 80,000 square feet. The Centre is the most advanced healthcare teaching and learning centre in Pakistan as well as in the region. CIME aims to transform education in Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry and Allied Health professions in country through partnerships and through raising expectations of what is possible in education, innovation, and learning through technology. The Center for simulation and educational technologies as a subdivision of the Karaganda Medical University is working since 2007. Our simulation center provides the opportunity to practice a wide range of practical procedures used in urgent medicine and their application in the resolution of particular clinical scenarios. We emphasize the training of cooperation in a team, including communication skills based on the CRM (Crisis Resource Management) concept. Since 2014 a large number of paramedics, nurses, as well as medical students have undergone required resuscitation training using our simulation of urgent resuscitation. Training of specific critical situations during anesthesia and intensive care is also provided for the education of anaesthesia specialists. We participate in the Combat Life Saver (CLS) courses of the Czech Armed Forces.
LaC is the only simulation centre located in the countryside of Portugal. It is integrated in a Portugese public medical school, and is focused on undergraduate medical training with simulation. The Surgical and Clinical Skills Centres within the School of Medicine, University of Dundee come together as the Dundee Institute of Healthcare Simulation (DIHS) capitalising on their combined expertise and experience of providing simulation-based medical education spanning almost thirty years. Surgical Skills Centre Technological advances and innovations require new skills to be mastered and the centre designs programmes to facilitate these ongoing requirements. The custom-built facility includes interventional human anatomy, virtual reality simulation, micro-surgery operating microscopes, an operating theatre, fully equipped laparoscopic training laboratories and advanced surgical skills training on Thiel embalmed human cadavers – which all combine to form one of the most innovative surgical training facilities in Europe. The Centre recently became the first in the UK to receive full Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) Centre Accreditation. The Centre’s training portfolio spans various disciplines with training provided at basic, intermediate and advanced levels for local, national and international trainees. Clinical Skills Centre Educational activities within the Centre are wide ranging, from simple task trainers and interactions with our volunteer simulated patients, to the use of virtual and augmented reality simulation and the immersive environments provided in the Dow Clinical Simulation Suite. EduSim specializes on In-Situ Simulation trainings in the field of both in-hospital and pre-hospital emergency medicine. The simulation centre (LabForSIMS) was officially opened in the Paris Sud Medical School in 2012. The Simulation and Assessment Center MENTOR MEDICUS was organized by the Sechenov First Moscow Medical University in 2007, at that time as a center for basic medical skills training. Today this is one of the biggest Institutions of this type in Russia, occupies nearly 1,500 square meters – a floor of the Russian Central Medical Scientific Library and services. The Simulation Center in the “Sechenov First Med” provides annual training for thousands of trainees – medical students and doctors by CME programs. Among of numerous Skill Labs for different specialties we facilitate entire an Virtual Hospital – a complex structure replicating the logistic of universal hospital. It replicates Emergency Admittance, Shock Room, Diagnostic Department, Operation Theater with Hybrid OR, Obstetrics Delivery Ward, ICU, Post-OP Recovery Ward and Doctor’s Offices. A separate room is dedicated for the casualty training by disasters or car accidents – here the numerous realistic emergency scenarios can be represented “in field” and after pre-hospital aid the victims are transported by the realistic ambulance to the Virtual Hospital.
We are specialised on in- and out-of-hospital emergency settings. We have built an emergency room, operation room and ICU for our trainings. Soon we will use VR technology in our courses. Actually we are in process to become an accredited Simulation Centre.
NoDE institute Simulation Center is a branch of NoDE institute, a non-profit organization with a mission to promote medical education. The simulation center started operating in the second quarter of 2018. We provide mainly laparoscopic surgical skills training, and are in the process of integrating further medical simulation courses, including BLS and ALS instruction for doctors and nurses, as well as team training in ER, OR and ICU setting scenarios.

The Scottish Centre for Simulation and Clinical Human Factors is a state of the art multi-professional training facility. We run simulation-based courses for hospital healthcare staff – from nursing auxiliaries to anaesthetic consultants, as well as industry-based personnel such as off-shore gas platform medics. Zielona Gora, Poland
The Mono-profile Medical Simulation Centre is based at the University of Zielona Gora, Poland – Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and is dedicated for nursing students. We started in 2017 with public tenders and renovations of parts of the building. In January 2018 we organized the first basic courses in medical simulation methodology for nurses, who are presently teaching in our simulation centre. MCSM comprises one high fidelity lab with three patient simulators (adult, child and infant), a technical skills lab, a basic nursing skills lab, a debrief room, BLS and ALS training labs and two OSCE labs. Our team consists of 4 medical simulation instructors, 2 technicians and 8 educators trained in the methodology of medical simulation. In 2018 and the first quarter of 2019, we organized 12 courses: introduction to medical simulation, OSCE, and low and medium medical simulation. We have been teaching our students since February 2019. On daily basis, members of our team improve their skills by participating in conferences (SESAM 2017, Medical Education Forum in Krakow, International Conference organized by The Military Medical Training Centre in Lodz). We have also organized the first EXPO Medical Simulation Conference in Zielona Góra. It took place in 2018. This event will constantly be present in our annual calendar. We are looking forward to the next in December. MCSM is cooperating with The Military Medical Training Centre in Lodz, Collegium Medicum of UJ in Krakow, The Medical Simulation Centre in Gdansk, The Medical Simulation Centre in Poznan, and Simulation Centres in Kielce and Rzeszow. This year we are starting to organize the competitions for medical simulations.

The Stroke Simulation Center Brno, Czech Republic, provides high-fidelity trainings on acute stroke treatment. Courses are focused on hospital logistics and application of intravenous thrombolysis in acute stroke with the goal to shorten door-to-needle time in stroke treatment internationally. Our courses emphasize on team work and decision making as well. Simulation courses are dedicated to all professionals involved in acute stroke care. We provide training in Brno simulation facility, in-situ and in other training places across the world. The stroke simulation program is part of the International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne´s University Hospital, Brno.

Medical Simulation Unit of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana (UMCL) was officially opened in June 2011. The centre has an operating theatre with associated control room, intensive care unit with associated control room, two briefing/debriefing rooms with computers, storing space, wardrobe, and an external training area (total area 300 m2).
